On Friday Gent Treadlys Mike Jaimes died at the age of 39. Before playing guitar in Gent Treadly, Jaimes co-founded seminal jam-act Native and clocked in time as a bartender at Wetlands. A message on Gent Treadlys webpage says, Anyone with a heart and pulse who ever spent even a small amount of time with Mike would agree that he was one of a kind – his sudden loss is simply devastating to his many loved ones. A memorial will be scheduled in the near future. in the meantime, friends of Mike’s are encouraged to send their thoughts and prayers to his family via [email protected].. In June Gent Treadly also lost Vince Welnick, who served as one of the groups satellite members for a number of years.
