Guitarist Jackie Greene took to Facebook today to share his status with Trigger Hippy. The guitarist says he has to call it quits from the group to focus on his upcoming solo album.
“My first album in five years is right around the corner and I must focus my attention on that. I am no longer a member of Trigger Hippy,” Greene wrote.
Trigger Hippy made their live debut in 2009 featuring Black Crowes drummer Steve Gorman along with Tom Bukovac, Nick Govrik and Joan Osborne along with Greene. The band has one album to their credit, their self-titled debut released in 2014. The band hasn’t offered up a comment at this time.

It’s been a great pleasure playing with a Trigger Hippy the past few years, but I must call it quits. My first album in five years is right around the corner and I must focus my attention on that. I am no longer a member of Trigger Hippy.
I will not be at the Full Tilt Boogie Festival in VT, but I’m sure it will be a great time and I sincerely hope everyone enjoys themselves.
Thanks to all who came out and supported us over the past few years, we really appreciate it.
