Disco Biscuits’ Marc Brownstein has hinted at a very special night of music at the Joy Theatre on night one of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on Thursday, April 24. The late-night offering, beginning at 11 p.m. local time, is billed to feature Brownstein’s so-called “musical soulmate” and longtime bandmate, Aron Magner, and a trio of surprise guests.
The night of music has been dubbed Foie Gras and CrumpUntz, and it will feature fellow musicians going under the aliases Frankie Bosco, Franz Petit Lupen, and Bobby Cornstarch. The event title, which, in part, nods to the French delicacy made of goose liver, could suggest the arrival of artists that might otherwise perform under a fowl-like title.
News of the impending concert arrives after the Disco Biscuits announced their 30th anniversary tour, which begins on June 6 at the Neighborhood Theatre in Charlotte, N.C. Read more here.
