Jeff Tweedy has announced the dates and locations for his upcoming fall solo tour. The Wilco frontman, known for his rapturous effect on words and, in turn, the melodic aura that exudes his carefully crafted lyrics, will commence the tour over three nights, Oct. 11-13, at the newly reopened Bearsville Theater in Woodstock, N.Y., before taking his live show across the country, for a late October coda in Menlo Park, Calif.
Following a strong start at Bearsville Theater, Tweedy, who concluded his summer tour with Wilco at Chautauqua Institution on July 5, 2024, with Grateful Dead’s “U.S. Blues,” prior to undergoing a hip replacement days later, will shuffle across the Empire State, arriving at Buffalo State PAC in Buffalo, N.Y., on Oct. 15. Continuing West, an evening at Southern Theatre in Columbus, Ohio comes ahead of a gig in Champaign, Ill.
Via Chicago, Tweedy’s musical journey will lead him to Madison, Wis., where he will grace the stage at the Barrymore Theatre on Oct. 19. His musical odyssey will then take him to the heart of the country for a night at The Admiral in Omaha, Neb., on Oct. 20, before a performance at the Center for The Arts in Jackson, Wy. Continuing his westward trajectory, he will make a stop at Salt Lake City’s Rose Wagner Theater on Oct. 23 before the grand finale.
In the Golden State, Tweedy will perform at the Center for The Arts in Grass Valley, Calif., just before a three-night residency at the coveted Bay Area location, The Guild Theatre in Menlo Park, Calif., from Oct. 28-30. News of the artist’s solo tour arrives amid a productive period for Tweedy, who released his third book, WORLD WITHIN A SONG: Music That Changed My Life and Life That Changed My Music, Wilco’s 13th studio LP Cousin, and the Hot Sun Cool Shroud EP, and added another successful weekend of Solid Sound Festival to the books back in June.
Tickets for Tweedy’s newly announced shows are on sale August 2 at 10 a.m. local time. For more information, visit wilcoworld.net.
