In honor of the 50th anniversary of Big Star’s eponymous record Radio City, the group’s own Jody Stephens, alongside R.E.M.’s Mike Mills, Wilco’s Pat Sansone, the dB’s’ Chris Stamey, and the Posies’ Jon Auer are taking the album on tour. This endeavor follows the 50th-anniversary jaunt of Big Star’s #1 Record in 2022, which featured Mills, Sansone, Stamey and Auer. During each show of the Radio City (& More) tour, the star-studded ensemble will play through the aforementioned LP in its entirety.

The tour starts in Chicago with performances at FitzGerald’s on July 13 and Square Roots Festival on July 14. The following evening, July 15, the collective will perform in Maquoketa, Iowa, at Codfish Hollow Barnstormers. Then, in late August, they will head south to North Carolina for a performance at Chapel Hill’s Cat’s Cradle on Aug. 21 before venturing North again for performances at Jersey City, N.J.’s White Eagle Hall on Aug. 22, Glenside, Pa.’s Keswick Theatre on Aug. 23 and Washington’s Union Stage on Aug. 24. Wilco’s Stirratt will replace Mills for select shows in July.

After the eventful summer schedule comes to a close, the eclectic group will close out the tribute venture in the fall, beginning Oct. 1 at Memphis, Tenn.’s Crosstown Theater. The North American leg of the Radio City (& More) tour will come to an end in California at Great American Music Hall in San Francisco on Oct. 4 and Los Angeles’ The Lodge Room on Oct. 7. Following these California dates, the 50th-anniversary affair is set for performances in Spain on Oct. 24, 25 and 27, as well as shows at Folketeateret in Oslo, Norway and Hackney Church in London, England on Oct. 29 and Oct. 31.

Fans can purchase tickets for all performances on Friday, May 31, at 10 AM local time, and various dates are available now here. Read on for a complete list of tour dates.
