On June 28 through 30, Wilco will return to MassMoCa in North Adams, Mass., for the arrival of their annual music festival, Solid Sound. As an added feature of the event, the band shared the news of an added set to their weekend gathering, sharing that they will deliver a specialty set comprised of deep cuts from their personal repertoire of music. The frame will occur on night one of the Northeastern gathering, Friday, June 28.

In the aforementioned post, the band detailed what fans can expect from the Deep Cuts set, calling the event “A special one-of-a-kind, never-to-be-repeated performance as Wilco rack their collective memory, airing out a wide range of less-played, rarely-played and possibly never played tracks from their vast—and let’s face it, at this point, unwieldy—catalog.”

Apart from Wilco’s contribution during the event, musical performances will also come from Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, Dry Cleaning, Nick Lowe & Los Straitjackets, Wednesday, Horsegirl, Ratboys, Water From Your Eyes, and more. Since its start, Solid Sound has distinguished itself not only through its musical offerings but also through its distinctive non-musical programming, ranging from John Hodgman’s Comedy Cabaret to live painting from the legendary Steve Keene and a variety of Substack Pop-Up Interviews.

The expansive galleries of MASS MoCA will also showcase temporary exhibitions from Laurie Anderson, Osman Khan, Elle Pérez, Amy Yoes, and Jason Moran, complemented by beloved long-term loan exhibitions from Louise Bourgeois, James Turrell, Sol Lewitt, and more.
