Circles Around The Sun have announced a special new concert series titled “Curated By CATS.” This two-show set will conclude the previously announced California Coaster Tour, staging the psychedelic rock quartet alongside jam contemporaries hand-picked by the band in Los Angeles and Santa Ana, Calif. on April 13 and 14.

With J. Blynn’s groovy lo-fi folk project Dandelion Head and hard-hitting psych-kraut ensemble Hooveriii, CATS will present performances described as something closer to an “event” than a typical show. As a home game for all three acts, these engagements will run the range of psychedelia from the intimate and homey, through the groovy and funk-inflected, on to the face-melting deep end.

The reveal of this new program arrives hot on the trail of CATS’ triumphant co-headline tour with Mikeala Davis and Southern Star, which concluded on March 24 with a performance at St. Paul, Minn.’s Turf Club. This run celebrated the duo’s collaborative After Sunrise EP, set to release on April 5 via Kill Rock Stars.
