My Morning Jacket and Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats will come together for joint appearances billed as the co-headlining Eye to Eye tour. The impending run of concerts will see the two acclaimed acts deliver equal-length sets, swapping performance order with each show, beginning on September 10 at the Live Oak Bank Pavilion at Riverfront Park in Wilmington, N.C.

Following their initial show, two groups of musicians will continue with stops scattered across the U.S. Midwest, including evenings spent in both South and North Carolina, before an Ameris Bank Amphitheatre in Alpharetta, Ga., on Sept. 14. They will take the Eye to Eye run to Jacksonville, Fla., prior to Nashville, Tenn., for a two-night stand on Sept. 18 and 19 at the Ascend Amphitheater. 

After two performances in Music City, My Morning Jacket and Rateliff & The Night Sweats will bring their joint endeavor to the East Coast for a show on Sept.  24 at Empower Federal Credit Union Amphitheater at Lakeview in Syracuse, N.Y. They’ll stick to the region, only shifting over to Philadelphia’s The Mann Center, before moving down the coast to Columbia, Md., for a concert at Merriweather Post Pavilion. 

Sept. 28 will present the final Eye to Eye tour date at Raleigh, N.C.’s Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek. “We were lucky enough to see Nathaniel and some of the Night Sweats at Preservation Hall in New Orleans some years ago-our minds were blown, our hearts were opened, and we got swept up in the joy of it all,” said My Morning Jacket’s Jim James via press release. We are so happy to share the stage with these fine folks for a run full of peace, love, music, and fun!”

Rateliff added, “We are long-time lovers of My Morning Jacket, and over the years have grown a close friendship. It’s so special to become friends with musicians and peers that you admire and we’re looking forward to bringing our love for each other on the road.”

My Morning Jacket and Rateliff & The Night Sweats have partnered with the nonprofit REVERB to reduce their environmental footprint on the road and take action to combat the climate crisis.
