On June 6-9, the GoPro Mountain Games will return to the Rocky Mountains of Vail, Colo., accompanied as ever by the three-day Mountains of Music concert series. Since its 2017 debut, Mountains of Music has drawn some of the best acts of bluegrass, roots, jam and more to the scenic Gore range’s Gerald Ford Amphitheater to complement the rugged, adventurous spirit of the games, amounting to a celebration of creativity, nature and the boldness of the human spirit.

The 2024 Mountains of Music series will kick off on Thursday, June 6, with a performance from Beach Boys songwriter Mike Love, to be followed by pioneering Australian singer-songwriter and environment justice advocate Mike Love. On Friday, psychedelic folk virtuosos Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country will warm the stage at the affectionately termed “Amp,” priming the audience for a set from the renowned alternative jam quartet Lotus. Finally, on Saturday, the event will host a pair of series veterans, with scheduled appearances from the genre-bending roots vanguard Dispatch and Leftover Salmon’s Andy Thorn–banjo ace and Colorado local–alongside an ensemble of special guests. Beyond the top-billed acts, the festival will also offer fifteen free daytime performances.

“We’re fired up about this lineup for Mountains of Music, and also to offer these concerts at very reasonable ticket prices,” shares Event Director Dave Dressman. “For Dispatch and Andy Thorn, it’s a return to our beautiful amphitheater, where they no doubt have fond memories of absolutely amazing shows. For Xavier Rudd, this marks his third appearance at the Mountain Games, however, he has never played at the Amp as both of his prior shows took place in Vail Village. We can’t wait to see their return, and to welcome new acts to come play what we hope will be very memorable shows.”

Previous performers at this ever-growing event include Chris and Rich Robinson, Circles Around the Sun, The Motet, Melvin Seals & JGB, Moon Taxi, The Marcus King Band, Keller Williams’ Grateful Grass and many more fan favorites.

Tickets for Mountains of Music are available now. For fans feeling their competitive spirit, registration is currently open for the competitions, including cycling, climbing, running, kayaking and more.
