Karina Rykman has announced her return to New York with a hometown show at Racket NYC on May 18. This engagement at the Bowery Presents’ new venue in the heart of Chelsea promises to host the singer-songwriter’s largest headline show yet, trading up to a 650-person standing-room hall from the 280-person capacity of Baby’s All Right, where Rykman presented her most recent New York show last September. Doors will open at 7:00 p.m., before the show begins at 8:00 p.m.

Rykman has rapidly made a name for herself as a trailblazer for the new guard of indie jam rock. The vocalist and bassist perfected her distinctive blend of genre mainstays with the high-energy, anthemic sound of power pop on her 2023 debut Joyride, which released to widespread acclaim and earned bookings at major events like Northlands Festival, Borderland Festival and Peach Music Festival. Rykman returned to the road this past weekend to open for Pigeons Playing Ping Pong at the Capitol Theatre and is scheduled to perform later this year at Sun, Sand and Soul on May 2 and Telluride Jazz Festival on August 10.

Artist presale begins tomorrow, Feb. 7, at 10 a.m. ET, and continues through Feb. 8 at 10 p.m. ET; eager fans can secure tickets with password JOYRIDE. General on sale begins this Friday, Feb. 9 at 10 a.m. EST via racketnyc.com/events. Visit karinarykman.com/tour for more information on further touring.
