On Wednesday night, Jan. 31, Pearl Jam treated friends, family and music industry members to a play-through of their impending 12th studio album and follow-up to 2020’s Giganton. The performance took place at the esteemed Los Angeles venue, the Troubadour.

According to the Associated Press, Eddie Vedder introduced the project from the stage, telling the audience, “You all get together as a group as we’ve been doing for 30-plus years, and you say, ‘Let’s try it again.’” The principal songwriter for the Seattle-formed project added, “No hyperbole, I think this is our best work.”

The impending project was produced by Andrew Watt and Rick Rubin. At this time, the final LP title has yet to be released. What is known is the tracking list features 11 cuts. Touching on their timeline, bassist Jeff Ament mentioned, “We made this record like a year ago.” He went on to state, “We’ve been sitting on it.”
