Disco Biscuits have released their most recent performance in Ausitn, Texas as a Christmas treat. The show took place at Austin’s Empire Garage; it was the second night of a two-show stand at the venue, arriving during the quartet’s busiest year of touring in some time. The Sept. 16, 2023 performance, which happened to fall on another holiday, Rosh Hashanah, also featured their first take on “Therapy” since December 29, 2022, and their first “Neck Romancer” since March 11, 2022.

The show was mixed and mastered by Rich Steele and is now available on all streaming platforms.

A note from the band reads:
We took a listen back to some of our favorite shows from this year, and this one continued to stand out. We feel like it has everything we want a 2023 Biscuits show to be: a super strong standalone opener (AC2B), a few fun bustouts (Therapy, Neck Romancer), some killer versions of newer songs (APOA, Photograph, Deal, Falling, Buy The Time), and of course plenty of deep improv (Jam → I-Man, Spacebird)

See you at New Years & Beyond into 2024, and Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays from us all!

– Aron, Allen, Jon, & Marc

The group will kick off their New Year’s run at New York’s Palladium on December 28. Though it will be their first stop at the venue under his current alias, the group has played the space under its previous ownership more than almost any other club.
