Dead Ahead Festival, the Caribbean concert vacation featuring curated collaborations steeped in Grateful Dead flair, has added another group to the January 12 through 15, 2024, event at the Moon Palace Resort in Riviera Cancún, Mexico. Just announced, Friday, Jan. 12, Noche De Ondas featuring Mickey and the Miracles are billed for the 11 p.m. slot on the Beach Stage. 

The group features longtime Grateful Dead backbeat Hart, performing alongside a talent assemblage of instrumental power, such as Derek Trucks, Jay Lane, Karl Perazzo, Giovanni Hidalgo, and Isaac Eady. According to the official Instagram post citing the addition, they shared that the impending set will clock in at 90 minutes. 

Outlining the event, they shared, “This music ties together many musical worlds; the world of Blues through the soulful slide guitar of Derek Trucks, the world of Latin music through the percussion mastery of Giovanni Hidalgo and Karl Perazzo, the world of New Orleans Funk through the bass playing of Isaac Eady, and the world of rock and roll through the tight and energetic drumming of Jay Lane and the cosmic sounds from the mind of Mickey Hart.
