Today, Baked Shrimp have announced an indefinite hiatus beginning in February 2024. The band shared a note with their fans and followers via social media, in which they conveyed their appreciation for seven years of prosperity, ultimately sharing their intent to disband after a few remaining obligations.

The letter began: “It is with a heavy heart that we must share the news of Baked Shrimp going on an indefinite hiatus beginning in February 2024.” They went on to add, “While we are closing the book on this era of music in the three of our lives, we are proud of ourselves, each other, and embrace our accomplishments as the power trio that we are and have always been.”

They continued by flexing stats that supported their unabashed commitment to bringing their sound to fans: “We’ve performed 400 shows, crossed off bucket list music venues and festivals we’ve dreamed of performing as kids, met and befriended musical idols, released four albums (with a fifth on the way), performed in 28 states, and got to travel the country doing what we love.”

Before capping off their letter, Baked Shrimp reminded fans, “In the coming days, we will announce the remaining dates of our album release tour, concluding in February. We look forward to embracing these final months together for what they are and soaking in every moment.”

At this time, Baked Shrimp has some dates on the calendar, including a Jan. 12 stand at The Cutting Room in New York City. Visit their official website to catch one of the band’s final shows before their indefinite hiatus.
