Les Claypool’s Bastard Jazz will celebrate New Year’s Eve on the West Coast. The group shared that on Sunday, December 31, they will take the stage at the storied Great American Music Hall in San Francisco for a one-night stand, marking the impending holiday.

Joining the group’s namesake are Lettuce drummer Adam Deitch, in addition to celebrated percussionist Mike Dillon. Round out the quartet is celebrated saxophonist Skerik. Apart from the main act, the event is also billed to include special guests, Uncle Sea Monster, who will blend their hardcore edge with surfy undertones.

News of Claypool’s Bastard Jazz date arrives on the heels of the newly expanded Primus, Puscifer and A Perfect Circle joint tour. Earlier this week, the groups shared fresh dates in Boston, Atlantic City, N.J., Forest Hills, N.Y., and other locations. Read more.
