With Yuletide just a few months away, music fans and residents of Asheville, N.C. alike, know that Warren Haynes’ Chrismas Jam is just over the horizon. The event, now in its 32nd year, shared its star-studded lineup last week and, to further excitement, released a video from last year’s pre-jam today.

The clip sees Gov’t Mule and J Mascis performing live at the Orange Peel in Asheville during 2022’s pre-jam. As the musicians rip through their debut performance of the Cure’s “Just Like Heaven”–the show’s encore–they raise the curtain on a live, intimate, rocking and open atmosphere necessary to receive the vast array of talent set to appear at the main event.

2023’s star-studded lineup includes Slash & Myles Kennedy, Gov’t Mule, Billy F. Gibbons, Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening, Clutch, American Babies (featuring Tom Hamilton, Jim Hamilton, Joe Russo), and Karina Rykman. Special guests and more artists are also expected to join.

The event’s proceeds will benefit the Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity and BeLoved Asheville.
