Following an extensive touring schedule and a captivating discography resulting in the delivery of Pork Etiquette, The Prawna Tapes, Vol. 1, Conscious, Bubble Suit, and their 2018 debut, Feast of Delight, Long Island’s own Baked Shrimp have once again tapped into their collective prowess and announced their next studio project, a self-titled set due out on January 12, 2024.
Comprised of progressive fusion rock power-trio members Jared Cowen (guitar, vocals), Scott Reill (bass, vocals), and Jager Soss (drums, vocals), Baked Shrimp has carved out fandom with their richly dynamic energy and unique songwriting, situated in improvisational settings and coupled with a supreme dedication to their craft.
The group’s forthcoming album is another installment in the genre-bending band’s sonic evolution. The set was recorded in the tranquil serenity of a rustic barn nestled against the splendor of mountains and forests. Pair with news of the fresh music collection, the group also shared plans for an album release show at The Cutting Room in New York City on January 12–marking their largest headlining show.
Commenting on the impending milestones for the New York natives, Cowen expressed via press release: “The excitement is hard to contain for this release and celebration.” He continued. “We knew how important it would be for us to deliver a high-quality product for all of our fans who have patiently awaited a new album, and we are immensely proud of the final outcome.”
