Today, Greensky Bluegrass outlined their plans for New Year’s with four shows across Michigan with Holly Bowling. The collective outfit has taken on the name 6reensky Bluegrass in recognition of the pianist joining their ranks and also have dates slated with Bowling in California in November.

#6reensky is back‼️ We are so lucky to have Holly Bowling joining us for our 4-day NYE run AND in California 11/2 – 11/4,” the band wrote on Instagram.

The Kalamazoo-bred ensemble–comprised of Dave Bruzza, Paul Hoffman, Michael Bont, Anders Beck and Mike Devol–will start their home-state celebrations at the Temple Theatre in Saginaw on Dec. 28 with fellow Michiganian May Erlewine. They’ll perform at The Fillmore in Detriot with Full Cord the following evening. After Detriot, the 6reensky Bluegrass New Year’s run will head home to Kalamazoo for two nights at The State Theatre on Dec. 30 and Dec. 31.

Before the New Year’s run, Greensky Bluegrass have a collection of performances throughout the fall with support from The Infamous Stringdusters and Lindsay Lou. They’ll also celebrate in Puerto Morelos, Mexico, during Strings and Sol with Yonder Mountain String Band, the Del McCoury Band, Railroad Earth and more.
