Brooklyn-bred psychedelic rock band, High Time, have announced they’ll hold a residency at the Brooklyn Bowl in New York City. Presented by Relix, this unique series of shows will celebrate community and music with a reimagining the early catalog of the legendary Grateful Dead.
High Time’s revival of the classic Sunday-show tradition–which will feature live liquid light shows courtesy of Macrodose–is scheduled for Oct. 22, Nov. 19, and Dec. 17. It promises to deliver a visceral musical experience with a tie-dyed, familiar flavor reminiscent of the iconic ’60s era.
“We’re a group that grew up simultaneously listening to Miles Davis, Sonic Youth, Pink Floyd, and Motörhead,” said Michael O’Neill in a press release. “Channeling the Grateful Dead’s improvisational spirit, we use their music as a jam vehicle to combine all of these influences and create a sound that is uniquely our own while still maintaining the songbook and traditions of the Dead themselves.”
In addition to their Brooklyn Bowl residency, High Time is hitting the road for four extra shows in Philadelphia; Kingston, N.Y.; Lake Como, N.J.; and Hamden, Conn. Tickets for all performances can be purchased at www.hightimedeadband.com or through the provided show-specific links below.
