On Sunday, Sept. 17, Eggy performed at the 2023 edition of Camp Deep End, which took place at Camp Navarro in Navarro, Calif. During the sonic jamband’s festival frame, they riffed through choice material, including a cover of the Peter Rowan-penned “Midnight Moonlight.” During the borrowed tune, Eggy welcomed ALO’s Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz on guitar.

During the course of the performance, Eggy delivered an eight-song set. Highlights included a few surprise covers featuring material from Big Thief, Grateful Dead, Phil Collins and Rowan. The four-piece group of billed performers opened the show with a run-through of “One Stop Shop” before diving into a slew of covers, such as  “Time Escaping” by Big Thief, original “Smile,” followed by sister tunes, “Help On The Way” into “Slipknot,” by the Grateful Dead.

Towards the concert’s end, the ensemble brought out the guest guitarist, Lebo, for a cover of Rowan’s “Midnight Moonlight.” Earlier this summer, Lebo had joined Eggy onstage for a cover of “Suite: Judy Blue Eyes” by Crosby, Stills and Nash at the High Sierra Music Festival in Quincy, Calif. To wrap Sunday’s stand, Eggy played an encore of “Sussudio,” originally by Phil Collins, with the added teases of previously played tunes “Smile,” “Slipknot” by Grateful Dead and Rowan’s “Midnight Moonlight,” beckoning to their main frame.
