Today, Goose have announced their plans to put on an Oct. 7 concert on the Colorado State University campus in Fort Collins, Colo. The impending performance is slated to occur on The West Lawn at Lory Student Center. Tickets will be free for college students who attended the university and available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The newly announced campus appearance will allow Goose to follow in the footsteps of other popular jambands that carved out a niche in the college community–not unlike the Grateful Dead in the late sixties and 1970s, who made a point to appeal to their younger audiences by turning up on the academic grounds and unleashing a memorable event.
The tacked-on college campus gig will arrive after Goose takes part in their highly anticipated, sold-out stand at the famed Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colo., on Oct. 5 and 6. Following their CSU appearance, the band intends to take a break from the road before returning just in time for their festival slot at Suwannee Hulaween in Live Oak, Fla., on Oct. 26 through 29.
A limited number of general admission and VIP tickets will be available to the public via an online lottery starting September 6 at 10 a.m. M.T., and running through Monday, September 11 at 3 p.m. M.T. Lottery requests will be limited to 2 per order. VIP tickets will include a private cash bar and preferred viewing area. Lottery winners will be notified on Monday, September 11, at 4 p.m. M.T. Lottery requests can be placed here.
Free tickets will be available to CSU students on a first-come, first-served basis via Lory StudentCenter Box Office Online. Student tickets are available now and are limited to one per order.
