On Nov. 7, Jeff Tweedy will release his third book, WORLD WITHIN A SONG: Music That Changed My Life and Life That Changed My Music. In support of the impending drop, the Wilco frontman shared his plan to hit the road for a book tour, beginning in his hometown of Chicago on Nov. 5.
Following the initial stop, Tweedy will turn up at New York’s Congregation Beth Elohim on Monday, Nov. 6. There. There, He will welcome moderator Amanda Petrusich of The New Yorker. The next night, the musician and author will turn up in Jersey City, N.J., prior to a Nov. 8 stop at Sixth & I in Washington, D.C.
After time in the nation’s capital, Tweedy will return to the Midwest, taking the stage at Walnut Hills High School Auditorium in Cincinnati, Ohio, where musician and archival curator Nathan Salsburg will moderate the conversation. Next on the schedule is a talk at Rackham Auditorium in Ann Arbor, Mich., on Nov. 10–moderated by Michigan Radio’s April Baer.
The final in-person book tour appearance lands on Saturday, Nov. 11, at The Pabst Theater in Milwaukee, Wis., which arrives before the musician’s virtual Live Talks, which is slated to be moderated by actor Nick Offerman, who notably took part in 2022’s Solid Sound Festival.
Via press release, Tweedy commented on the forthcoming book, “[this] is the one I probably would have written first if I were more ambitious, and if I had been a little more clear-eyed about what I care most for in this world…Other people’s songs.” Learn more here.
