Phish will return to New York City’s Madison Square Garden for a highly-anticipated seven-show residency in just a few days. The beloved Vermont jamband will take the stage on July 28, dishing out seven nights of music before wrapping on Aug. 5. Today, Creative Entertainment Group (CEG) announced they would help keep the party rolling after dark with a series of parties and special guest performances.

CEG’s Phish after-party series will occur across select venues within walking distance of Madison Square Garden. Night one’s celebration will kick off just before midnight at The Cutting Room, with live music slated from Virginia-based jam ensemble Kendall Street Company. 

On Saturday, July 29, The Cutting Room will again open its doors for a special performance from Duane Betts and his band, Palmetto Motel. During the show, Betts and company will celebrate the 50-year-anniversary of 1973’s Summer Jam at Watkins Glen International Speedway, which saw a record-breaking collaboration between the Allman Brothers, Grateful Dead and The Band. Another Saturday night event will occur at Hill Country, with music from Connecticut-based funk quartet One Time Weekend. 

Sunday’s festivities will launch early, with a pre-show party at The Cutting Room. The event will also tribute the 1973 Summer Jam roster, with sets expected from The Allmost Brothers Band, Near Dead Experience and ALEOproductions. 

Following Phish’s Sunday night appearance at The Garden, CEG will get the party back together at Hill County for an Elton Jawn: Philly Phunk x Elton Dance Party. The celebration will feature jams from Dopapod’s Neal “Fro” Evans, Dogs in a Pile’s Jeremy Kaplan, Felix Pastorius and The Knotty G’s. Meanwhile, local experimental jam ensemble Space Bacon will keep things moving over at The Cutting Room.

After a short break from the festivities on Monday, CEG will resume the fun on Tuesday night with simultaneous events at The Cutting Room and Hill Country. The former will see a Grateful Dead tribute set from Stella Blue’s Band, while the latter will see a pair of performances from Brooklyn-based indie rockers Art Thief and disco-funk ensemble LINKS. 

On Wednesday night, LaMP members Russ Lawton and Ray Paczkowski will link up with JRAD’s Scott Metzger for an instrumental set at The Cutting Room. Meanwhile, Hill Country will welcome electro-jammers DIZGO to the stage for a Talking Heads and Gorillaz tribute set, dubbed “Talking Diz-Gorillaz.”

Following a second night of rest on Thursday,  Athens, Ga.-based rockers Perpetual Groove will pick the jams back up on Friday, Aug. 4, at The Cutting Room. Finally, Connecticut-based jam quartet Eggy will cap off Saturday night’s MSG performance with an intimate show at The Cutting Room, while Ari Fink and Tad Cautious are slated to spin send-off sets over at Hill Country.
