Psychedelic jam-funk quartet Pigeons Playing Ping Pong recently revealed their exciting plans for New Year’s Eve 2023. The jamband announced a two-night extravaganza at the House of Blues in Boston, set to take place on Dec. 30 and 31.
Frontman “Scrambled Greg” Ormont expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming shows in a press release, stating, “Boston has always been one of the rowdiest cities we’ve ever played. From the first time we ever performed in the Northeast, we were blown away by their wild energy. We already know they’re going to bring the heat for our first New Year’s run in Boston, and they know we’ll do the same and then some.”
Notably, the Dec. 30 show at the House of Blues Boston promises an exclusive “VIPPPP package” for its purchasers. This package includes one general admission ticket, a personal meet and greet with the band along with a photo opportunity, a limited edition show poster autographed by Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, a commemorative VIP laminate, and early access to the band’s merchandise before the doors open to the public.
Before the grand New Year’s celebration, the quartet will embark on an extensive fall tour, covering various regions across the United States. Their journey will take them through the South, Rocky Mountains, Pacific Northwest, and West Coast. Joining them on this musical adventure will be up-and-coming artists Dogs In A Pile. Furthermore, the band recently announced the addition of Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers to their Denver show at the Mission Ballroom on Nov. 4.
Tickets and VIP packages for the New Year’s run will go on sale this Friday, July 21, at 10 a.m. ET, while artist presale tickets will be available starting Wednesday, July 19, at 10 a.m. ET until Thursday, July 20, at 10 p.m. ET. The presale tickets will be available with the password PPPPNYE.
