On Wednesday, The String Cheese Incident took the stage at the Dillon Amphitheater in Dillon, Colo. The July 12 show represented the group’s final stand at this venue during their current touring cycle. The concert presented a mix of originals and covers, including a take on the Grateful Dead’s “Friend of the Devil,” with special guest Jaime Wyatt.

The midweek concert got underway with a cover the Gary Nicholson and Wendy Waldman scribed “Can’t Stop Now” before moving into “MLT” and and ensuing “Sing a New Song,” from their Outside Inside LP. A highpoint of the night arrived next, with the country songstress’ arrival. Wyatt assisted with the lyrical delivery of the Grateful Dead staple, before exiting the stage and leaving her hosts to take on “Sweet Spot.”

The second half of the night’s initial frame saw a jammed segue of “Illegal” into “One Last Story” and a return to “Illegal” to cap the fluid delivery, which merged into “One Step Closer.” “Beautiful” represented the last song of the night’s first half. After a break from the stage, The String Cheese Incident returned and cut into a merging of “Texas,” “Best Feeling” and “Drums.” The “45th of November” arrived before “Valley of the Jig” and “Black Clouds.” For the final song of the main set, they delivered “Colliding.”

The band returned for an encore of “Smile” to conclude their July 12 stand. Tonight the Colorado-natives will make their way to Red Rocks Amphitheatre, where they will perform on July 14, 15 and 16.
