Last night, Tuesday, July 11, The Disco Biscuits continued their West Coast tour with a stop at Revolution Concert Hall in Boise, Idaho. The trance-fusion group’s return to the Gem State represented their second-ever performance in the area after a 1999 Idaho debut. The band celebrated with a big bust out to mark their comeback, delivering “Ducks And Geese Are Free” for the first time since April 19, 2008.

The aforementioned bust-out had only been performed a handful of times before its elongated hiatus. Appearing on a few setlists after its April 6, 2001 debut at The Rave in Milwaukee, Wis., and turning up once in 2003, before it was shelved prior to the 2008 run through which predated last night’s return. Fan favorite “Run Like Hell” arrived next, merging into an ensuing run-through of “Buy The Time,” which melded into “Lake Shore Drive.”

The initial set went on to present the Aron Magner-penned “Spaga,” which dripped into an inverted take on “Abraxas” paired with a send-back to “Run Like Hell” to cap the frame. After a break from the stage, the team of players kicked things off in a fitting fashion with “We Like to Party,” left unfinished in lieu of “Munchkin Invasion.” “Falling” emerged next and swung into “Falling.”

The Disco Biscuits added the Jon Gutwillig scribed “Air Song” before busting back into “Munchkin Invasion” to close out the evening’s latter set. For their encore, the band delivered “Miracles.” After last night’s performance in Idaho, the group will continue their West Coast tour, stopping in Spokane, Wash., before dropping down to Seattle and following up with Oregon appearances prior to a string of Gold State dates and a single Nevada gig.
