On June 8, the Disco Biscuits continued their current trek, stopping at the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh, N.C. The midweek concert arrived after the group’s Isle of Palms, S.C., show on June 7 at The Windjammer, where they welcomed Doom Flamingo’s Kanika Moore. Following the high felt during the previous evening’s performance, Thursday night’s display beckoned another peak moment when the band debuted their new number, “Buy The Time,” during the concert’s second half. 

Disco Biscuits kicked off their Raleigh, N.C. stand with the psychedelic jam into “M.E.M.P.H.I.S.,” which merged with “Astronaut.” As a follow-up, the group dipped their toes into “The Very Moon,” delivered in partial form before running into the midsection of “Crickets.” Rather than move into new territory, the band returned to the last notes of “The Very Moon” before tacking on an inverted “Crickets” to carry out the monstrous jam. The initial set presented “Another Plan of Attack,” which bled into “Munchkin Invasion” to cap the night’s first half. 

After a break from the stage, the players returned and cut into a special display of “Pilin’ It High” before warping into the night’s debut, a first-time take on “Buy The Time,” which, according to the band’s official website, was authored by Jon Gutwillig. “Lake Shore Drive” emerged next and came before “Anthem” and inverted renditions of “Reactor” and “Rock Candy.” For the final song of the frame, they covered Dead or Alive’s “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record).”
