Last night, June 7, the Disco Biscuits commenced an eight-date run of the East Coast. Their initial stand occurred at The Windjammer in Isle of Palms, S.C. Given their location, the band tapped local legend and Doom Flamingo vocalist, Kanika Moore, to add her pipes to the night’s bust out of Pink Floyd’s original “Have A Cigar,” which was played for the first time since Feb. 7, 2009.

The Wednesday night stand saw many fans embrace the location, sinking their toes into the sandy beaches while catching the action from the picturesque oceanside venue. After kicking off the concert with “Confrontation,” the Disco Biscuits added in “Spaga’s Last Stand.” “Shock” came before an unfinished rarity, “Rainbow Song.” While the tune has gotten three plays this year alone, it had previously been on pause since Sept. 18, 2021. The band hit just the ending of “Humuhumunukunukuapua’a” to cap their first frame.

After the set break, Disco Biscuits returned and welcomed their guest to the stage. Moore joined her host and added vocals to the evening’s cover of Pink Floyd’s “Have A Cigar,” a tune from the 1975 fan-favorite album Wish You Were Here. During the number, the band tapped into the psychedelic nature of the music, which was made special with the addition of Moore’s soaring vocal range. Upon completing the cover, Disco Biscuits played “Uber Glue,” which ran into an ensuing take on “Falling” and “Tempest.”

The final frame brought forth another Pink Floyd cover, a partial “Run Like Hell,” which merged with an inverted “Above The Waves” before cascading back into the song plucked from 1979’s The Wall. After finishing their time in South Carolina, Disco Biscuits will bring their tour to the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh, N.C., this evening before moving on to Richmond, Va., and eventually up to Pennsylvania.

Tonight’s show will be livestreamed on nugs.net. Subscribers can watch the content at no additional cost. Listen to last night’s concert now
