JamBase has announced they will celebrate 25 years of concert-going with a series of live shows this summer. The four-night event, dubbed The JamBase 25th Anniversary Quadricentennial Silver Jubilee, is slated to occur on August 17 through 20, with performances taking place across three venues in the Boston area.

The JamBase team will start with an August 17 show at Sally O’Brien’s in Somerville, Mass. Boston-based jazz-funk ensemble BT ALC Big Band will headline the venue, with special guest support from trumpeter and vocalist Jennifer Hartswick.

Continuing the events, on August 18, local psychedelic jazz dub collective Club d’Elf will take the stage at Boston Harbor Distillery. In addition to celebrating JamBase’s anniversary, the performance will mark a personal quarter-century milestone for the Mike Rivard-fronted ensemble, who first came together in 1998.

Next, on August 19, the Jennifer Hartswick Band will lead the party down to the South Shore for a headlining set at Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke, Mass. Other acts on the roster include singer-songwriter/ multi-instrumentalist Ron Artis II and an opening frame from renowned pianist Holly Bowling.

As a final musical treat, Umphrey’s McGee will round out the festivities with a night of music at Soundcheck Studios on August 20. Like Club d’Elf, the experimental jammers will also pay tribute to 25 years together as an ensemble.

Tickets for the August 17 performance at Sally O’Brien’s will be exclusively available at the door. Tickets for Club d’Elf at Boston Harbor Distillery are on sale now via this link.
