On July 10, Grace Bowers & Friends will join forces at The Basement East in Nashville, Tenn., for a special benefit concert honoring The Covenant School Family and all those affected by gun violence. Spearheaded by 16-year-old guitarist and songwriter Grace Bowers, the fundraiser will feature an esteemed lineup of local and nationally touring musicians.

Top-billing acts on the roster include rock icon Butch Walker, South Carolina-based rocker Hannah Wicklund, rising Americana star Daniel Donato and local legend Devon Gilfillian. Other Music City-based artists to take the stage will be Alex Rahal and The Brothers Band, Them Vibes, Fancy Hagood, Jen Gunderman, Hugh Howser, Jay Tooke, Keshia Bailey, Matthew Paige, Megan Jane, Nathan Aronowitz, Nikki Barber, Paul McDonald and Sarah Tomak. Audley Freed, Noah Miller, Lindsay James, Peter Keys, Paul Thacker, Seth Fox and Will McGee have also signed on for the cause, with more artists set to be announced.

During the event, performers will stand in solidarity with the Nashville community in the wake of the tragic March 27 shooting at the Covenant School. Bowers outlined her vision for the evening in a press release, writing “I asked all of my friends and favorite musicians to donate some jams celebrating life, love, and music. At the end of the night our efforts and charities will provide compassion, strength, and support to Covenant families and all those who have been affected by gun violence.”

All event proceeds will directly benefit Covenant Heals– an arm of The Covenant School that connects the community with individual care and facilities groups and opportunities for healing, growth, and learning in the community,– as well as the national non-profit organization MusiCares. Fans can also donate directly to both causes here.
