Today, Brooklyn-based rock outfit The Hold Steady announced that they have added a number of new dates to their 2023 schedule. The sextet–who first came together in 2003–will expand their 20th-anniversary celebration tour with shows across the U.S.  

The band will kick off their new run of dates on May 20, with a special appearance on CBS Saturday Morning. There, they will dish out a live set and sit down with the program host Anthony Mason for an exclusive on-air interview. Then, on July 29, The Hold Steady will hop over to Rhode Island for their debut performance at the Newport Folk Festival. On Sept. 22, a new tour stop will take the rockers to New Jersey for a one-night-stand at White Eagle Hall. 

Finally, on Oct. 6 through 8, the band will spend their first weekend in Las Vegas in almost a decade. They will start with a surprise event on Friday night, with more details to be announced. Then, on Saturday night, they will take the stage at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas with indie-rock outfit Built To Spill and follow up on Sunday with a bowling/football watch party and brunch. 

In addition to the live performances, the band will also commemorate their landmark year with the release of a print publication entitled The Gospel Of The Hold Steady: How A Resurrection Really Feels. The book– which was produced in collaboration with journalist Michael Hann– will arrive on July 25 via Akashic Books. It is available for pre-order now at this link.
