Following the recent passing of the esteemed Canadian musician Gordon Lightfoot at the age of 84, details have emerged regarding his last album. The highly anticipated live record, titled At Royal Albert Hall, will be available on July 14 via Linus Entertainment, adding to the world’s mourning of the legendary artist.

Captured during Lightfoot’s performance at the iconic Royal Albert Hall in London on May 24, 2016, the double album stands as a testament to the songwriter’s remarkable career. At Royal Albert Hall is presented exactly as it was recorded, warts and all, without any edits, overdubs, remixing, or re-sequencing. It serves as a comprehensive compilation of Lightfoot’s greatest hits, including timeless classics like “The Watchman’s Gone,” “Sea of Tranquility,” “Now and Then,” “All The Lovely Ladies,” and many others.

Lightfoot was accompanied during the unforgettable performance by Rick Haynes on bass, Barry Keane on drums, Mike Heffernan on keys, and Carter Lancaster on guitar. The artist himself insisted on the immediate release of the album, personally approving its cover art and ensuring that no alterations were made to the audio before his passing.
