Following the arrival of their 17th album, This Stupid World, on Feb. 10, Yo La Tengo have announced that they will support the new collection with a series of summer tour dates that will take the ensemble through parts of the United States and into Canada.

Yo La Tengo will commence their forthcoming tour on June 9 with an appearance at the White Eagle Hall in Jersey City, N.J., before traveling down the Eastern Seaboard for their follow-up on June 10 at The Atlantis in Washington, D.C.

The Garden State natives will pick up a series of shows in the Northeastern region of the U.S., stopping in Portland, Maine and  South Deerfield, Mass., before embarking on the Great White North leg of their journey, which includes stops in Montreal and Toronto.

Then, the band will participate in back-to-back shows on June 18 and 19 at Boston’s Paradise Rock Club prior to their ensuing stand at the Center For the Arts in Homer, N.Y., on June 21. After a gig in Detroit, the group will appear on stage at Bell’s Beer Garden in Kalamazoo, Mich.

As June winds down, the group will pick up their last series of concert appearances, which will take them through Chicago, Knoxville, Tenn., and Birmingham, Ala., before their finale, which will occur on June 28 at Atlanta’s Variety Playhouse.

Yo La Tengo’s North American tour will happen after the group returns from a previously announced European jaunt, which began last night in Dublin, Ireland. For tickets to the group’s U.S. and Canada run, visit yolatengo.com
