Phil Lesh & Friends have plotted an upcoming appearance at the historic Frost Amphitheater on the Stanford University campus in Stanford, Calif. The forthcoming show will occur on May 5, when an exciting list of players will join the Grateful Dead bassist.

Amongst the musicians billed to join Phil at the Northern California venue are the artist’s son Grahame Lesh, as well as James Casey, Natalie Cressman, Jason Crosby, Jennifer Hartswick, Marcus King and Tony Leone. The group’s upcoming concert in The Golden State arrives after Phil’s Chicago stand at The Salt Shed on March 11 and 12, where he will welcome added support from Warren Haynes, amongst others.

Afterward, on March 15, Phil will take the stage in Port Chester, N.Y., where he will mark his 83rd birthday and continue the tradition of celebrating at The Capitol Theatre, with added dates on March 17, 18 and 19. Following his birthday stand, the celebrated San Francisco jammer will turn up at the annual Skull & Roses Festival at the historic Ventura County Fairgrounds in Ventura, Calif., on April 22 and 23.

Of note, the Grateful Dead played several concerts at Frost Amphitheater on the Stanford University campus, performing 14 shows between 1982 and 1989 at the acclaimed venue. Last year, Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros shared the bill with Mickey Hart’s Planet Drum at Frost.
