Today, the ever-expanding ensemble, The Daze Between Band, announced they’ll celebrate the lull between the weekends of the 2023 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival with a celebration at Tipitina’s on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. The event will serve as the official after-party following the Daze Between New Orleans gathering earlier in the day at New Orleans’ historic Faubourg Brewery, which will also celebrate the days between Jazz Fest weekends on May 2.

The event at Tipitina’s, produced by GMP Live, Purple Hat Productions, Relix and Live For Live Music, will be helmed by two-time Grammy-winning guitarist, musician and producer Eric Krasno, American multi-instrumentalist musician, singer, and songwriter and New Orleans luminary Ivan Neville, along with one of the true progenitors of funk, George Porter Jr. The Wednesday gathering has been taking place since 2017 and welcomed a rotating cast of musical all-stars curated by Krasno since its inception.

Joining the trio of top talent this year are nationally recognized artists and rising stars in their own right, including Goose’s Rick Mitarotonda, Jennifer Hartswick, Peter Anspach, Ryan Zoidis, Tony Hall and Raymond Weber. They’ll all be welcomed at the Rustic, black-and-white tiled landmark by DJ Soul Sister.

Past members of the venerable Daze Between Band members include Warren Haynes, Dave Schools, Oteil Burbridge, Scott Metzger, Tom Hamilton, Marcus King, Duane Trucks, Mononeon, Jeff Sipe, Eric “Benny” Bloom, and more.

Notably, Mitarotonda and Anspach, both members of Goose, will headline the aforementioned Daze Between New Orleans. The two-day celebration will also feature performances by Tank and the Bangas, Lawerance, Melt, Eggy, Neal Francis, and Eggy, not to mention George Porter Jr. and his band, the Runnin’ Pardners.
