On Jan. 8, Los Angeles’ Troubadour–the fabled live music venue in West Hollywood–will host a one-night-only event celebrating the rich musical heritage of Athens, Ga. The show has been billed as a benefit concert and will raise funds for Nuci’s Space; it will also be livestreamed for free via Volume.com

The Sunday night event, in the City of Angels, will bring together select band members from esteemed Athens, Ga. groups such as R.E.M., Futurebirds, The Glands, Sugar, Drew Dixon, The Interns, Natural Child, and more for an evening of fundraising and entertainment.

The beneficiary of the night works to prevent suicide, “With a focus on musicians, Nuçi’s Space advocates for and helps to alleviate the suffering for those living with a brain illness and fights to end the stigma of mental illness,” according to their official website

While the upcoming concert will be livestreamed for free on Volume.com, viewers are also encouraged to donate throughout the broadcast to the night’s choice charity.
