Last night, the Disco Biscuits brought their three-night run at the Riviera Theatre in Chicago to a close, bidding 2022 farewell and welcoming 2023 with open arms through a rocking electric three-set jubilee.

The Disco Biscuits opened the show with their live debut of “Sirius,” a song by The Alan Parson Project which melded into “Rock Candy.” Next came another live debut and an original by Aron Magner, “Spaga’s Last Stand.” They rounded the first set with “Magellan” and “Digital Buddha.”

The second set was a non-stop run starting with “Uber Glue” > “Freeze” > “Mr. Don.” Without missing a beat, the band rolled into “M1,” which flowed into an inverted version of “Little Shimmy In A Conga Line,” which locked back into “Mr. Don” to close the frame.

The third set kicked off with a very appropriate “Why We Dance,” as the final moments of 2022 arrived, the Disco Biscuits ripped into “Times Square,” where the ball was dropping, welcoming a New Year. They then played a jam of “Helicopters,” which had “Happy New Year!” lyrics. Without pause, they moved to “Tricycle” into an inverted “42” and finally “Basis For A Day” to close the third set.

After wiping the sweat from their brows, the band returned for “Space Train” before once again ripping through “Helicopters” again, wishing their friends, families and fans a Happy New Year.
