Beloved Baltimore, Md.-bred jam-funk quartet Pigeons Playing Ping Pong have announced their plans for an extensive spring tour that will see them perform with a handful of rising stars as special guests, including Dogs In A Pile, Kendall St Company, Melt and more.
The spring tour will kick off in proper fashion with a two-night celebration close to home at the 9:30 Club in Washington D.C., on Feb. 3 and 4. After a break, they’ll take to the sky towards Colorado for four performances in the Rocky Mountains: Aspen’s Belly Up on March 15, Frisco’s 10 Mile Music Hall on March 16, then two nights at the Boulder Theater on March 17 and 18. From there, they’ll say hello to their friends in the Midwest over five nights, with stops in Des Moines, Iowa, on March 21, St. Lous, Mo. on March 23, Milwaukee on March 24, Grand Rapids, Mich., on March 25 and Indianapolis on March 26.
From there, the fusion ensemble will migrate back east to bring their eclectic, high-energy jam fusion back to Buffalo. N.Y.’s Town Ballroom to round out the month on March 30 and 31. They’ll then perform at two venues in Portland, Maine: the State Theatre on April 1 and the Portland House of Music on April 2. To close out the tour, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong will stop by the flagship Brooklyn Bowl in New York City for three nights of fun on April 13, 14 and 15.
Along with the aforementioned Dogs In A Pile, Kendall St Company, and Melt, the ensemble will be joined by reggae outfit Dale & The Zdubs on their Feb. 3 show, Joe Hertler and The Rainbow Seekers on the Feb. 4 performance, and The Jauntee for their show on March 18. Yam Yam will also join them in the Midwest, while the Brooklyn Bowl closing shows will feature Kendall St Company along with One Time Weekend and Yam Yam.
Tickets for the Spring Tour will be available through a presale starting on Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 10 a.m. local time, followed by a public on-sale beginning Friday, Dec. 16 at 10 a.m. local time. Find tickets and learn more here.
