Today, Austin-based producer and multi-instrumentalist Cloudchord shared a new song titled “Dreamer,” featuring Big Gigantic’s beloved producer/saxophonist Dominic Lalli.

With songs like “Low Key,” “Cruisin’,” “Hibernate,” and “Sundays,” many are familiar with Cloudchord’s lo-fi, velvety, Tempur-Pedic sound, and his latest collaboration with Lalli only adds to his cushiony collection.

On “Dreamer,” Cloudchord opens with pedal steel before ushering in a calming white noise of distant rain. The two then unite with Lalli’s saxophone riffs, adding gilded sunlight to the ethereal reverie while the Austin-based musician joins, harmonizing on through his own distinct guitar.

“Dreamer” marks his latest collaboration since the release of “Junior High Dance,” song with Emancipator–his top streaming song on Spotify, along with his solo effort “Big Boi.” As for the future, Cloudchord has a new LP set to release in 2023 and a homecoming New Year’s Eve show with SunSquabi on Dec. 31.
