Every year since 2005, Relix has partnered with Del McCoury to present our A Cold Turkey Thanksgiving audio special. Over the years, we’ve offered live cuts, studio favorites and even some unreleased material. And, in recent years, we’ve expanded our scope to present a range of music from Del’s sons and their hard-touring outfit, The Travelin’ McCourys. The full special can be streamed here.

We recently spoke with Del and his son Ronnie about the Del McCoury Band’s latest album, Almost Proud.

The full special can be streamed here.

Here’s a look at this year’s tracklist and some notes from his team on each song

Del McCoury Band and California Honeydrops – “The Other Shore”: Lech wrote this and DMB put it on their recent album. Del invited them up to play it with them at DelFest.

Jason Carter – “Birdsong”: Jason has a new album out and the Travelin’ McCourys back him up on this live show favorite

Travelin’ McCourys & Friends – “Old Man”: In 2015, we put a bunch of friends in the studio with the McCourys and this is one of the tracks that came out of it, and hasn’t been released yet. This selection features the Travelin’ McCourys + Sierra hull, Eric Gibson and Dre Anders

Sam Bush and Del McCoury – “Roll On Buddy”: A duo performance from DelFest

Travelin’ McCourys – “I Like Beer”: Rob’s singing debut

Travelin’ McCourys – “Whole of The Moon”: Live from DelFest this year
