Calling All Crows, the nonprofit organization helmed by Chadwick Strokes and his partner Sybil Gallagher, have added the Righteous Babes Revue to the lineup for their 15th annual benefit concert. The charitable event is scheduled to take place at House of Blues Boston on Dec. 10.
Righteous Babes Revue is the latest act to be added to the lineup for the upcoming benefit concert, which already features a headlining performance by the event host, Chadwick Strokes & Friends. In addition, the newly added artist–Gracie and Rachel, Holly Miranda and Jocelyn Mackenzie–have signed on to perform a special opening set together.
The newly added female musicians had previously recorded at Ani DiFranco’s Righteous Babe label and, in turn, created a collaborative presence that will be on full display during the Calling All Crows event. The musicians will use the charity event to present each other’s songs, harmonizing and adding a special delivery to the chosen arrangements.
The charity, Calling All Crows, was enacted in 2008 as a Massachusetts-based nonprofit committed to working with musicians, fans and other organizations to connect and mobilize music fans to join feminist movements for justice and equality by raising awareness, taking action and collectively working for social change.
