Today, Old Crow Medicine Show have revealed a new holiday single entitled “Trim This Tree.” The band also shared that they will follow up next week on Monday, Nov. 21, by delivering the track’s official music video.

The new song features Old Crow Medicine Show performing with special guests, including penny whistle master Jim Hoke and The Purple Martin Choir, which includes students from the Episcopal School of Nashville, an institution that the group’s frontman, Ketch Secor, helped establish.

“‘Trim This Tree’ is our Christmas card to Nashville, the city we love and call home,” offered Secor. “It’s got all the trimmings of a Music City holiday, from the Goo Goo Clusters to the light-up plastic nativity scene.”

The founding member of the Old Crow Medicine Show and a member of the Grand Ole Opry, Secor, also shared that in the spirit of giving, the band has partnered with Room in the Inn. The latter is a local shelter offering safety and resources for the unhoused and those battling addiction.

Secor also added a note on the group’s charity of choice: “Nashville’s sanctuary for the unhoused and safe haven for those struggling with addiction. Let’s make the holidays a little bit brighter with this fun, spirited tune and Happy Holidays Y’all, from Nashville to you.”

Visit their official website for those interested in donating to Room in the Inn.
