An alphabetical history of the Grateful Dead has been assembled for some of the band’s youngest fans. The ABCs of The Grateful Dead was penned by Howie Abrams and features colorful visual accompaniment courtesy of  Michael “Kaves” McLeer. The book is due to be released on Nov. 22 via Permuted Press. 

The forthcoming children’s book pulls in playful themes and vivid imagery and introduces the reader to various topics pertaining to the legendary San Francisco ensemble. An alphabetical journey beginning with the letter A, the book moves through the alphabet, highlighting significant moments and cultural contributions exhibited by the band. 

From the groundbreaking release of such beloved albums as 1970’s American Beauty to pioneering the group’s iconic Wall of Sound, The ABCs of The Grateful Dead touches on a plethora of band-infused topics and themes.
