Grammy-winning musician Eric Krasno has formed a new supergroup, King Canyon, with multi-instrumentalist Otis McDonald and electric-upright bass player Mike Chiavaro. The trio have announced their debut single, “Keep on Movin,” will be released on Oct. 7 and serves as a preview of their upcoming full-length album, due out on Dec. 2.

The new single blends the musician’s unique style to create a groove-filled track that’s perfect for the transition into fall as the leaves begin to change and the weather gets colder. Angelic harmonies set the tone as the strong bass, and guitar riffs bring in doses of R&B/soul and funk.

The supergroup began back in 2020 amid quarantine. Krasno came across McDonald’s music on Instagram and was later enlisted to add some guitar to the music McDonald and Chiavaro had been working on. In no time, the trio had an album worth of songs, and the supergroup was born.

King Canyon’s self-titled debut album is set to drop on Dec. 2 and features guest appearances from Derek Trucks and Son Little.
