Yesterday, beloved American rock band moe. posted a “Sunday Recovery Jam” on their Instagram page. The clip featured three members of the band performing “Meat” off their 1996 LP Loaf from a comfortable upstairs bedroom studio.

The clip is the first look at moe. with founding member and guitarist Chuck Garvey since he suffered a stroke back in early November of 2021. As one may expect, the video garnered words of admiration and an outpouring of love and support. Garvey was joined by his friends and bandmates Robert Derhak and Al Schnier for the intimate recording, which is not only musically pristine but also a testament to Garvey’s skill, strength and determination.

Last year, in December moe. performed at The Capitol Theatre with Warren Haynes, Scott Metzger, Reid Genauer, Aron Magner and Shannon Lynch to pay tribute and raise funds for Garvey. Check a photo gallery from the evening here.
