Today, the Prine Family and Oh Boy Records have shared additional information behind next month’s You Got Gold: Celebrating the Life & Songs of John Prine, which is slated to happen from Oct. 7 through 12 in Nashville, Tenn. Organizers have unveiled that many of the events will be livestreamed for free via Mandolin, including Prine’s 76th birthday celebration.
The weeklong tribute, which benefits The Hello In There Foundation, will feature an assemblage of surprise artists, friends, and more, who will turn out to salute the honorable singer and songwriter in Music City. The highly anticipated birthday celebration is scheduled to happen on Oct. 10 at the storied Ryman Auditorium. While the artists set to perform will remain a mystery until showtime, folks can sign up for free livestream access to the event here.
