The August 5 and 6 concerts featuring Mickey Hart, Zakir Hussain and Planet Drum at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, N.Y, have been postponed. Members of the ensemble shared the news on their social media profiles, informing fans of the shift in plans. 

The statement provided by the venue read: “Hi Friends! Our shows with Mickey Hart, Zakir Hussain and Planet Drum are postponed. Tickets purchased for Friday, August 5 and Saturday, August 6, will be honored for the new dates. Refunds will be available at point of purchase if you are unable to attend the rescheduled shows.”

They added, “You will receive a separate email for Ticketmaster outlining steps for a refund once new dates are announced.”  The statement concluded, “We look forward to welcoming Planet Drum back to jam in the future! Stay tuned for the new dates.”

The first night of the troupe’s stand at The Capitol Theatre was initially set to feature The Bogie Band with Joe Russo, while the second was billed to include Russo’s Selcouth Quartet with Stuart Bogie, Jonathan Goldberger and Jon Shaw. 

Russo also commented on the postponement. The drummer added, “Unfortunately these shows will be postponed… hopefully The Bogie Band featuring Joe Russo & The Selcouth Quartet will find out ways back on the rescheduled bill. Thanks all!”
