Peter Gabriel is set to appear on Arcade Fire’s new album WE; lending vocals on “Unconditional II (Race and Religion).” Their forthcoming project marks the band’s sixth studio album and is set to release on May 6.

The former Genesis singer will be joined by Radiohead producer, Nigel Godrich, who is not the only additional star collaborator heard on the band’s sixth studio album.  Collaborations with rock icons is standard practice for the band having worked alongside the likes of David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, David Byrne and more in the past. “It’s nice to meet other people that know what we’re talking about,” shared frontman, Win Butler in a New York Times profile.

Following WE‘s release on May 6, Arcade Fire will make an appearance as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live the following evening on May 7. Enjoy “The Lightning I, II”, the first single off their upcoming album below:
