Last night, Mt. Joy shared the title track of their upcoming album Orange Blood and an adjoining music video. Orange Blood is set to be released on June 17 via Island Records.

“Orange Blood” is the second single the band has shared off the upcoming LP following the release of the project’s debut single “Lemon Tree,” which was released on March 31. Earlier this month, guitarist Matt Quinn shared, “So fucking proud of this record. It’s our best. Feels like the start of something really special. Can’t wait for you to press play.”

Quinn followed up last night on social media, he wrote, “‘Orange Blood’ is out. This is a song about a transformative trip to Joshua Tree. Some beautiful days spent falling in love with a girl that I’ll never forget. A little nod to Brazil too, which is where my girlfriend is from. I hope it takes you on the desert trip we all need from time to time.”

The 10-track LP sees the band, comprised of Quinn and his bandmates, Sam Cooper, Jackie Michlau, Sotiris Eliopulos and Michael Byrnes, expand on their grooves as a unit and solidify a bonafide sound unique to the ensemble.
