Dave Bruzza has announced a solo spring tour dubbed ‘Unsafe At Any Speed,’ beginning on May 12 at Otus Supply in Ferndale, Mich.

The Greensky Bluegrass founding member broke the news on his official website; he wrote, “Thrilled to be returning to some familiar places near and dear to me as well as some new places to stop and play for you all.”

Bruzza went on to add, “Joining me for this run will be Mr. Jimmy Matt Rowland on keys, Michael Shimmin on drums, Justin Mazer on guitar, and Jeremy Darrow on bass.”

The midwest-heavy run will include three consecutive Michigan shows. Following opening night, the band will descend on Coyote Crossing in Cadillac, Mich., before heading to Kalamazoo, Mich., for a gig at Bell’s Eccentric Café.

The ensemble will then make their way to Evanston, Ill., to perform at Evanston SPACE on May 17. Then, Bruzza and his band will play at the Turf Club in St. Paul, Minn., before traveling to Missouri. On May 20, the band will perform at Bluegrass in the Bottoms Festival in Kansas City, Mo., followed by the tour finale at Old Rock House in St. Louis, Mo., on May 21.

“We play a mix of songs I wrote and some of my favorite covers,” stated Bruzza. “I don’t know how to say this without saying it, but it’s not a Greensky show. It’s a rock ‘n roll band.”
